Merino wool
Merino wool is soft, breathable, thermal, sweat-absorbent, well insulated, dirt-repelling and activates skin functions.
Natural bourette silk
Silk is the shiny, fine thread of which the silkworm caterpillar builds it cocoon. Like wool, silk is a protein based fibre with good shape- retention properties. It is very fine, smooth, crease resistant, highly absorbent fibre. Silk has thermal capacity in heat as well as in cold and has a healing component due to the natural silk gum.
Cotton and silk
The ideal mix for babywear. Silk has the thermal component and cotton adds softness and durability. Organic cotton Conventional cotton farming is monoculture, with the intensive use of chemicals (pesticides, fertilizers). Organic cotton is farmed in rotating systems with no use of artificial fertilizers or pesticides and chemicals are replaced by natural compost fertilizers and manual plant care.
The need for intensive manual labour provides an income for hundreds of workers. The organic farming keeps the environment in balance and the people on and around the farms healthy. The consumer is guaranteed chemical free quality cotton from organic farming, which is checked and certified by an independent institute in accordance to the EU bio regulations for the EU organic certificate.
Hemp and Linen
Hemp and Linen are high quality natural fibres. They have the highest sweat-absorbing capacity of all natural fibres and are very comfotable to wear. They protect from 95% of ultra-violet and ultra-red light (rays), they are anti-static, not easily inflammable and extremely robust (approx. 30% stronger than cotton).
Hemp and linen grow well without the use of fertilizers and their farming enhances the natural balance and fertility of the soil. Hemp and Linen fibres have a natural structure which gives it its characteristic natural look and does not indicate poor or faulty quality.
